Dr Abubaker Ahmed is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with specialist expertise in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Medicine. He has extensive experience across the full spectrum of general gastroenterology. He completed a master’s degree in biomedical science from Sheffield and also completed advanced endoscopy fellowship in Manchester Royal infirmary and has been practicing at Manchester Royal Infirmary since 2018. He is an advanced endoscopist, performing ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, and colonoscopy. He is also an accredited Bowel Cancer Screener with the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (JAG-UK). Dr Ahmed is actively involved in ongoing research in pancreatology at the University of Manchester.
